Final Crisis: Who Lives? Who Dies?
Word on the internet is that either Aquaman and Martian Manhunter are currently on DC’s chopping block since Batman is off limits. For those of you that don’t know, apparently DC had plans in the works to kill off their biggest hero and best selling character but found that Warner Bros would have none of that. Instead, many say they’ve turned their attention to either Aquaman, who really hasn’t had much to do with DC as of recently, or J’onn J’onzz, the Martian Manhunter, who has also been somewhat absent lately.
It’s a tough call for me personally having very little experience with the DCU but, being a fairly strong supporter of Grant Morrison, I’m sure whatever he has planned for us will work out…at least reasonably well. That being said, I know I couldn’t possibly predict who could be getting wiped out but the way I see it, I’ve pretty much got a 50/50 chance of getting it right. I’m personally going to go with Aquaman because I’ve never really been a strong supporter of his. Please keep in mind that I am basing this on absolutely no evidence, facts or logic whatsoever. I would encourage any of you out there that actually know what you’re talking about to voice your opinions and speak your minds.
Place your bets ladies and gentlemen because before Final Crisis is over, I bet one of them is a goner.

Gah, I’m torn. I love both characters. Both have potential to become great characters. But I want more of Martian Manhunter. I wish writers would let him come out from behind the curtains and show people what he could really do.

Then again, what do I know?
January 22nd, 2008 at 12:56 amSince J’onn is posing as Blockbuster in Salvation Run, I’m betting that he gets found out by all the villains and has a death scene line Bart Allen’s - all the villains gang up and take him down.
January 22nd, 2008 at 12:38 pm… and I still think Wally West’s kids are being set up for a touching death scene in Final Crisis, too.
January 22nd, 2008 at 12:40 pmGood thing they have changed their sights to those two. If they stuck with killing Batman I would never really want to read another DC comic again.
January 22nd, 2008 at 2:54 pmThat’s not the first time I’ve heard that. To be honest, I’d probably do the same.
