In case you’re new to the site or didn’t gather from one of my many previous posts regarding this title, Thunderbolts is amazing. With Marvel unleashing the preview of issue #119, I’m even more stoked about the upcoming release. Nothing overly important is happening…aside from the possible complete and utter breakdown of the team from the inside out. That’s all.

Swordsman, who hasn’t exactly been acting like himself lately, is holding a stand-off in his room. As the soldiers prepare to take him down, Venom has his way with a number of them by ripping them to shreds and festively sporting their helmets on his head as trophies. All the while, Normal Osborn paces back and forth in his office trying desperately to figure out what he has to do to keep his team, along with anyone else in the base who isn’t superpowered, alive.
It’s not too late for you to jump on this series. We’re less than 12 issues into the post-Civil War arc and things seem to be getting better and better as the issues move along. Warren Ellis’ writing, as usual, is bang on and provides artist Mike Deodato with the perfect launch pad to show off his gritty violent artwork. Enough of my rambling, you need to go out right now and pick up the first volume of this title, Faith In Monsters, and see for yourself why Thunderbolts is arguably one of the best titles currently being released by Marvel.
Justice, like lightning!
