It's that time once again ladies and gentlemen! The Awesome Arena returns with the fourth round of fights in what has been one of the greatest tournaments in the history of the internet. Okay, so maybe I'm going a little overboard. Regardless, with last week's shocking upset Thor moves on to the next round and sends Spider-Man packing. Thor will be going head to head with the winner of this week's battle in the quarter final! Wondering what the current ladder looks ... Read More

Lately, I've been kicking around the idea of picking up a couple Moon Knight comics. A while back, I got the sudden urge to head out to the local shop and pick up some Wolverine. Luckily, that turned out alright and I've since gotten into the series. Moon Knight, on the other hand, is a little bit of a different story.
I think, at this point, it only makes sense to go over some of the pros and cons of Moon Knight and ... Read More

Yep, Manhunter is back once again! After a bit of, "Hmm, maybe she's not coming back... maybe she is coming back," it's nice to know that she certainly coming back again. Such a great series, but for some reason, got canceled. DiDio gave it another chance and Manhunter certainly has risen from the ashes once again. "Hear me roar!" Manhunter says.
I myself like Manhunter a lot. While not as popular as other female characters, she certainly did have a fleshed out personality ... Read More

*Ding, ding, ding!*
Friday Night Fights returns with a vengeance and also with another weekly lesson! This time, the Dark Knight shows us a couple of the things he knows about cosmetic surgery. He seems to think that good ol' Hush here...
...is going to need a whole helluva lot more bandages on his face once he's done with him.
"Dkush" indeed. Read More

Thor #7 was the highlight of a pull list that included not only the latest issue of Amazing Spider-Man but also the latest outing from the Justice League of America. This fact really shouldn't come as a surprise. Thor's been the best thing going at Marvel since the relaunch actually took place back in 2007. With a new artist on board, could Thor #7 keep the momentum going?
The quick answer is yes. The momentum is still entirely intact. Staczynski may have had ... Read More

Late last week, Marvel's Spider-Blog showed off a page from the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man #568 issue. Sure it's a long way off but I'm already pretty excited since it, as Marvel announced way back during one of the releases regarding Brand New Day, marks John Romita Jr.'s return to the pages of Amazing Spider-Man. Needless to say, I'm pretty excited.
We, the readers, haven't seen JRJR working on Amazing Spider-Man since 2004 back when Straczynski was still writing the books. Romita Jr. was ... Read More

Once again, it's time for a new two-part story in the world of Wonder Woman!
As usual, the writing by Gail Simone is fantastic, giving Wonder Woman the personality and voice that has been thrown around a lot for some time now. It's like a match made in heaven; it's always making me say, "Oh, Wonder Woman would so do that." Simone brings a great balance of action, great dialogue and stories interesting enough to keep me hooked on this series. The humor ... Read More

The Brand New Day keeps on rolling in Spider-Man #554 but just how long will it last? Seriously, this day is starting to drag on and, if the writers don't start to distance themselves from not only the tag line but the whole idea in general, it could cost them. As for Amazing Spider-Man #554, it basically wraps up whatever mess was started at the beginning of March but, like you're about to find out, it's not really done the way most ... Read More
