It's that time once again ladies and gentlemen! The Awesome Arena returns with the fourth round of fights in what has been one of the greatest tournaments in the history of the internet. Okay, so maybe I'm going a little overboard. Regardless, with last week's shocking upset Thor moves on to the next round and sends Spider-Man packing. Thor will be going head to head with the winner of this week's battle in the quarter final! Wondering what the current ladder looks like? Here's a peek. As for this week, let's take a look at the competitors, shall we?

Combatant #1 - Iron Fist

First Appearance:
Marvel Premiere #15 (May 1974)

Background:
As a young man training in martial arts, Danny Rand is given the chance to attain the power of the Iron Fist by fighting and defeating the dragon known as Shou-Lao the Undying, which he does. After killing Shou-Lao, he enters the monster's cave and plunges his fists into a brazier containing the creature's molten heart, emerging with the power of the Iron Fist. Looking for Iron Fist? Look no further than the critically acclaimed title Immortal Iron Fist released by Marvel each month.

Powers & Abilities:

• The Iron Fist - A concentration of his chi in his fist
• Healing ability
• Master martial artist

Combatant #2 - Red Tornado

First Appearance:
Justice League of America #64 (August 1968)

Background:
Originally created by T.O. Morrow as a tool to infiltrate the JSA, Red Tornado was quickly accepted into the group for several missions before being sent to Earth-1 and becoming a member of the Justice League of America. This is hardly the place but if you're looking for a good Tornado-tale, be sure to check out Brad Meltzer's JLA: The Tornado's Path. It's amazing.

Powers & Abilities:

• Air and wind manipulation
• Superhuman strength, physical resistance and speed
• Self-repair/Healing Factor

The Fight:
As usual, it looks like this battle will be an interesting one. Will the power of the Iron Fist be enough to take down the Red Tornado or will the winds of an F5 tornado toss Danny Rand around like a rag doll? Maybe both, who knows? One thing is for sure. Nobody's going to win unless you help them out and vote! Make sure you cast your vote and see to it that only the best of the best is crowned arena champion!
