The Awesome Arena Summons You…Again!

Looking for the Awesome Arena? You won’t find it here. Check out the latest from the mind of the guy who brought you Panels of Awesome. Be afraid.

About this author:

Mike's love for Spider-Man knows no bounds. He is the owner, principal writer, janitor and editor for Panels of Awesome and any of the other sites under the POA umbrella. Fear his rule.

We’re doing things a little different around here from now on. When this Tournament of Champions first started, there was really no way of knowing just how many people would show up and support their favorite heroes. Needless to say, it’s a much more impressive turnout then I first anticipated. That being said, I’ve been in talks with CrackerBob about a new idea that I’ve had. Some of you might have heard about it on Twitter as well. The Awesome Arena’s got it’s own site.

The new home of the Awesome Arena!

The new site’s got a bunch of new features that are either online now…or are in the process of being developed. Here’s some of the things you can check out or at least look forward to checking out in the coming weeks on the Awesome Arena website:

  • Character battles
  • It probably wouldn’t make sense to have a site without these. Starting Monday morning, you’ll be able to vote on your favorite heroes and continue the Tournament of Champions.

  • Fighter Wiki
  • We’re still working the bugs out of this one but anyone who has experience using Wikipedia should feel right at home with this feature. Your contributions are greatly appreciated and won’t go unnoticed!

  • News on upcoming battles and tournaments
  • We’re already planning the next Tournament of Evil and, by checking out the A.A. site, you’ll have all the information first!

  • T.O.C. Pool
  • We’re currently working on a way to include the pool into the A.A. site in a much easier way than it is now. For the record, the rules for the pool have stayed the same. Only now, you need to vote on the Awesome Arena site as opposed to Panels of Awesome. Your pick for the pool will still need to be made on CrackerBob’s For The Love of Comics website.

  • Fight Archive
  • A much more detailed archive of the past fights will be posted on the site. There’s still a bit of work to be done but for the most part, you can see where things will be going.

As with most things POA, your suggestions are highly recommended! If you have any ideas, send them our way and we’ll see if we can make them happen. We’re really looking forward to this and hopefully you all enjoy what’s coming and what’s already here.
